This program is oriented to people who need a good knowledge of a foreign language in everyday communication. The aim of the course is to develop speaking skills in general, typical situations as well as basic principles of business communication. The development of speaking skills is achieved by using lots of verbal exercises, dialogues and role-playing on various modern and popular topics. Listening comprehension skills are practiced as part of an audio course. Oral and listening practice takes 80% of the lesson. Moreover, each unit includes detailed lexical material, grammar training with varied level of difficulty. Each containing comments, charts, schemes, and texts for reading and listening on the topic. Emphasis is put on practical knowledge of the language in different areas of life.
Educational programs are designed for different levels from Starter to Advanced.
Starter level; Elementary level; Pre-intermediate level; Intermediate level; Upper-intermediate level; Advanced level.
Starter and Elementary courses consist of 120 academic hours. All the other levels are designed for 100 academic hours.
We use modern comprehensive course books by top European publishers in our teaching process. Course materials consist of a student book, a work book, audio CD, video cassettes or DVDs, and other supplementary materials. All students at Tom’s House are provided with course books.
